The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach launches padel

The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach (TTC) officially welcomed padel to the club on Saturday, Sept. 26, unveiling a new state-of-the-art padel court and introducing members and the Newport Beach community to one of the fastest-growing racquet sports in the world, which combines elements of tennis and squash.

With the addition of padel, TTC Newport Beach now features 31 pickleball courts, 11 tennis courts, one French clay court and one state-of-the-art padel court

The launch brought the community together to experience the new court, learn more about the sport and see firsthand why padel continues to gain momentum alongside tennis and pickleball.

With a large membership roster, TTC has become one of Newport Beach’s leading destinations for racquet sports and an active hub for competition, recreation and community.

“Racquet sports continue to evolve, and we want TTC to be at the forefront of that evolution,” said Sean Bollettieri of TTC Newport Beach. “Padel brings another exciting dimension to the club, and the response from our members and community has already been positive.”

With the addition of padel, TTC Newport Beach now features 31 pickleball courts, 11 tennis courts, one French clay court and one state-of-the-art padel court.

“We replaced one tennis court with one padel court, so we now have 11 tennis courts and 1 padel court,” said Bollettieri. “Pickleball and tennis are our main racquet sports, and padel is here on a trial basis. I am certainly not sold yet that it will work here, but we are giving it a try.”

The Tennis & Pickleball Club at Newport Beach is located at 11 Clubhouse Drive, Newport Beach.
