The Guilds of Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents “All That Jazz Casino Night”

The Guilds of Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced their annual fundraiser “All That Jazz Casino Night,” Friday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m., at the Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Guests will enjoy a celebratory night of canapes by the lake and dinner in the ballroom, followed by a poker tournament and gaming to benefit Segerstrom Center’s Education and Community programs.

The Guilds are delighted to honor Marta Bhathal and Lisa Bhathal Merage as the 2024 Guilds honorees along with Eileen Cirillo, the 2024 Guilds Inspiration Award recipient and Wincome Hospitality as the 2024 Philanthropic Business Award recipient. Each honoree is deeply respected in the community as true philanthropists and gracious champions of Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

2024 Guilds Honoree Marta Bhathal

Marta S. Bhathal is a retired business leader, avid golfer and celebrated philanthropist who has enthusiastically supported Segerstrom Center for the Arts for 25 years. After co-founding RAJ Swim with husband Raj Bhathal, she served as president and COO for 40 years, growing the business into one of the most successful swimwear design and manufacturing companies in the world, before handing the reins to their children, Lisa and Alex in 2006. Bhathal has held leadership positions on the Center’s board for 23 years, served as president of the Angels of the Arts and has chaired the prestigious Candlelight Concert five times, including once in 2019, where she and her daughter Lisa served as the event’s first mother-daughter team.

2024 Guilds Honoree Lisa Bhathal Merage

Lisa Bhathal Merage is an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist, currently serving as managing partner and chief impact officer of investment firm, Revitate. She has followed in her mother, Marta Bhathal’s footsteps, and has been involved with Segerstrom Center for the Arts since early adulthood, where she has been an Angel of the Arts for more than 10 years, co-chaired Candlelight Concert with her mom, and received the Center’s inaugural Rising Arts & Business Leader Award in 2014.

2024 Guilds Inspiration Awardee Eileen Cirillo

Eileen Cirillo has been a supporter of the Center since it opened in 1986, when she made her first contribution to the building fund and started attending performances. She lives out her belief that the arts are for all – as a founder of Studio D, Arts School for All Abilities, a steadfast supporter of the Center’s Masters at the Center program, a docent since 1994 and a Guilds member since 2006. Cirillo currently serves as on The Guilds board as membership event chair, as the chair of the Carmen chapter and is also a member of Sound of Music and a patron member of Pas de Deux.

The Guilds have been ambassadors for Segerstrom Center for more than 40 years. They are devoted to building awareness and support for the Center’s renowned, mission-based education and community engagement programs, and to developing a greater appreciation for the performing arts in Orange County.
