Announced candidates running to succeed Katie Porter in the 47th District of Congress (L-R): Scott Baugh, Max Ukropina and Joanna Weiss

Porter is vacating her position at the end of her present term and instead running to replace Dianne Feinstein, whose seat was temporarily filled by Laphonza Butler following her death this past year. Butler was appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, but has vowed not to run for the permanent seat in the upcoming election.

The forum presented by Speak Up Newport will be preceded by a reception from 5:15-6 p.m., followed by the program.

The forum is free to attend and no RSVP is required. It will also be available to view on Zoom. Click here to register for the Zoom and to receive login credentials.

The Civic Center Community Room is located at 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach.
