Shamrock and Roll at Spirit Run

In March, Spirit Run will mark its 40th year of celebrating community, family and fitness, and supporting local schools, youth sports programs and other causes. This year’s event is on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17 at Fashion Island. Spirit Run will offer a treasure trove of goodies sure to make it your lucky day.

Spirit Run’s event gear is Irish-inspired. Event shirts are green with a clover leaf design. Each finisher (adult, youth, and canine) will receive a lucky medal at the finish line. Anyone may turn on the charm with additional clover leaf shirts and merchandise available at Spirit Run’s online shop.

Spirit Run will host a St. Patrick’s-themed costume contest. Registrants may compete to win Malarky’s merchandise and other prizes in the following categories: (1) individual adult; (2) individual child; (3) group (adults, kids, or a family), and (4) human and canine duos. Spirit Run is giving away leprechaun-approved decorative eyeglasses and headpieces. This St. Paddy’s swag will accentuate costume competitors’ attire and help celebrate Irish pride.

Newport Beach’s favorite Irish pubs will spread some Paddy magic with gifts to transport registrants straight to the Emerald Isle. In celebration of Spirit Run’s 40th year, adults can enjoy a pint of cheer at Malarky’s for 40 cents, along with a free appetizer at Muldoon’s. Restrictions apply.
