The Balboa Fun Zone Arcade features Skee Ball, pinball and other games. The Fun Zone was built on the bayfront between Palm and Washington streets in 1938. Back then it also featured a bay beach and Ferris wheel. At various times over the years, it has also had a carousel and bumper cars.

Newport Beach Historical Society is located at the Balboa Branch Library, 100 E. Balboa Ave., Newport Beach, Calif. 92661. Hours are Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Both the library and museum are closed on Sundays. Free admission.
