Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Club holds Newport Harbor Classic

The Newport Harbor Classic played on Sunday April 28 with 48 bowlers was an electrifying event that took place at the Newport Harbor Lawn Bowling Club (NHLBC). Under clear skies and amid a lively breeze, 16 teams of three from across Southern California clashed in a thrilling competition.

As the day progressed, the tension mounted, and spectators were treated to a display of skill and strategy that was nothing short of captivating. The teams battled fiercely, each vying for the coveted title.

Forty-eight players gathered at the club to begin the tournament

In the end, it was the home team that emerged victorious, comprised of none other than the Singles World Champion Anne Nunes, her Team USA husband Bill Brault and the club’s esteemed past President Andrew Dufresne. Their teamwork and unwavering determination propelled them to victory, solidifying their place in NHLBC’s storied history.
