Newport Beach Public Library to hold a Meet the Author event

Newport Beach Public Library will present the New York Times bestseller, The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel.

Join NBPL for a special Meet the Author event featuring Douglas Brunt, as he discusses one of the most perplexing mysteries of the 20th century – Rudolf Diesel, inventor of the diesel engine, mysteriously vanished on the eve of World War I. This book reveals the hidden history of one of the world’s greatest inventors, a man who disrupted the status quo and then disappeared into thin air. Brunt uncovers the 100-year-old mystery of what really became of Diesel.

Meet the Author event takes place on Sunday, April 28 from 2:30- 4 p.m. in the Friends Room of the Central Library. Registration is strongly recommended. Seating is limited by room capacity. Register here. There is no charge for this event.
