Newport Beach Police Foundation Golf Classic – a day of friendly competition, food and fun…all for a great cause

The Newport Beach Police Foundation (NBPF) Golf Classic was held on June 17 at the Newport Beach Country Club. Local area supporters of the Newport Beach Police Department were joined by Police Chief Joe Cartwright, police officers and city officials, along with sponsors for a beautiful day of golf, good food and fun.

Congratulations to the winning team – XComp Tires with a score of 57 (L-R): Blake Wilkey, Ben Shur, Dan Cohen and Jeff Kreitzman. The winners took home inflatable paddle boards donated by Kap7.

Tournament Co-chairs Lorie Swatsek and Dan Hess announced that this was the most successful event in the foundation’s history.

According to Swatsek, “Our community has deep respect for our amazing police department, and they showed it today. We are so fortunate to have the protection of the NBPD and are thrilled to host such a fun event where our citizens can show their appreciation.”

The Sterling BMW, hole-in-one contest hole at picturesque Newport Beach Country Club

Funds raised from this event will be directed toward initiatives including a peer support dog, scholarships for NBPD children, support of the police mounted unit, holiday meals for on-duty officers, emergency assistance for NBPD families and other impactful programs.
