Jazzy is eager to be adopted into her forever home. This 10-month-old terrier mix is bursting with energy. While she’s full of love to give, Jazzy will need a family committed to training and channeling her exuberance into positive behaviors. Could your home be the perfect match?

Volunteers are also needed to help care for animals at the shelter, and monetary donations support urgent medical or dental needs of shelter pets.

If you have questions, contact the shelter at 949.718.3454, or email aco@nbpd.org.

The Newport Beach Animal Shelter is in a kennel-zoned area of the city. The Newport Beach Police Department’s Animal Control Unit provides services that include lost and found, pet adoptions, enforcement of animal laws, dog licensing, and wildlife management and education.

They also respond to reports of animal abuse or neglect, pet hoarding, dog bites and other issues of pet and public safety. They do not limit intake of pets based on health, temperament, or age.

Animal Control Officers and Volunteers work together to restore the animals’ well-being and reunite them with owners or find new forever homes. Adoption services are available by appointment only except on Open House dates.
