Mayor O’Neill, OC Sheriff Barnes and NB Foundation partnered to hold fentanyl round table discussion

Newport Beach Mayor Will O’Neill and Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes, in partnership with the Newport Beach Foundation, led a round table discussion to present the effects of fentanyl overdoses that continue to invade the community and state on Monday, June 24 at Newport Beach City Hall.

There was an overview of the current efforts by law enforcement to combat the spread and distribution of the drug, and the latest information on Narcan and other programs that have been implemented to curb overdoses. The discussion focused on solutions and ways to support the harsh realities of the fentanyl epidemic.
