Get into the holiday spirit by registering your boat and/or home for the Christmas Boat Parade, Ring of Lights

It’s time to get into holiday season by entering your boat in this year’s Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade or decorating your home on the harbor for the Ring of Lights. This year’s theme for the 113th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights, taking place December 15-19, is “Jingle on the Waves.”

The Boat Parade and Ring of Lights is perhaps the foremost local holiday event, previously earning the designation as the “#2 City in the Nation for Holiday Lights” by Yahoo! Travel and hailed as one of the “top holiday happenings” in the nation by the New York Times.

The parade runs for five consecutive evenings, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and finishing near the same site around 9 p.m. Extravagantly decorated boats of all sizes are invited to participate, where owners can entertain their guests, while competing for awards recognizing their decorating efforts. All registered participants also receive the Commemorative 2021 Parade Plaque.

The Ring of Lights is the beautiful backdrop to the hundreds of lighted boats and a spectacle all its own. Harbor enthusiasts will enjoy elaborately decorated bayside homes and businesses, all judged in their own right.

It’s easy to register for the Parade and/or Ring of Lights here. For more information, visit
