Money and jewelry taken in burglary

A residential burglary occurred Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Campobello community in Newport Coast. 

At approximately 7:45 p.m., while the victims were away, an unknown suspect entered the second story of the house through unknown means. The suspect ransacked the guest bedroom, master bedroom and master closet, before rummaging through drawers and opening a safe. The suspect then fled the scene.

Reported losses included jewelry and U.S. currency.

No suspect information is available.

Burglar breaks into storage locker

Sometime between 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, a residential burglary occurred in the 1800 block of the Park Newport Community.

The victim discovered that a storage unit’s lock was missing and that the property within had been removed. Taken were suitcases and a dolly.

No suspect information was available.
