Segerstrom Center to kick off its 2020 lineup on Argyros Plaza in February

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is gearing up for a spectacular 2020, from world-class performances by internationally renowned dance companies and hit Broadway shows, to musically absorbing seasons of chamber, jazz and cabaret – there’s something for everyone on their stages. And that’s just the beginning.

With the new decade comes even more free entertainment for the community outside on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. They asked you on their social media polls, and you answered. Your favorite Plaza events are returning: “Silent Disco,” “Summer Jazz” and “Tuesday Night Dance,” all will grace the Plaza this year. Twenty free events are planned throughout the year.

When announcing the 2020 lineup, Segerstrom Center for the Arts President Casey Reitz said, “Since arriving at the Center in December, I’ve been blown away by the crowds and energy on the Argyros Plaza. I’m so pleased to see people making it their own, and it’s been a great way for me to meet and get to know people from all over Orange County. We have a great lineup of events, but I think people will especially want to add our first Mardi Gras celebration, KPOP Tuesday Night Dance event and the Plaza Prom to their calendars. These are definitely not-to-be-missed.”

Tuesday Night Dance regular, Brian says, “I’m looking forward to Tuesday Night Dance returning and getting back to learning new styles of dance every month. It will be especially fun seeing my dance instructor teaching K-Pop to the public. It’s the best way to end your Tuesday.”

The Plaza is a place for everyone – where local artists take the stage. Come and enjoy a wide variety of arts and entertainment with their free WIFI, outdoor seating, George’s Café and your furry friends.
