Fourth Annual Rosé on The Bay to serve up funds for nonprofit KidWorks

The 4th Annual Rosé on the Bay fundraiser and friend-raiser to support KidWorks is set for Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 5-7 p.m. at the Newport Beach bayfront home of Heidi Mendoza.

KidWorks is a 30-year-old Santa Ana-based nonprofit that provides academic, personal development and leadership programs for children and teens in under-resourced neighborhoods.

Last year, Orange County women, including Newport Beach residents, joined forces to support KidWorks at the annual Rosé on The Bay fundraiser

Wine, appetizers, live music and opportunity prizes are all part of the experience. Proceeds benefit KidWorks’ College and Career programs. Last year, more than 50 women joined together at the event to raise $25,000 for the organization.

According to Newport Beach resident Sue Willet, chair of the Rosé on the Bay committee planning the event, “I am truly inspired by the leadership, generosity and hospitality of these amazing women. Because of them, I’m confident this annual event will again be an overwhelming success.”

Other members of the committee who are Newport Beach residents are KidWorks’ board members Kyle Team, Ellen Small, Heidi Mendoza, Arlene Silvers and Sandy DeYoung, plus board members Emily Mandrup, Ellen Wheeler, Amanda Zimmerman, Melissa Marshall and Sharon Kline.
