Disaster Preparedness Month topic for CdMRA meeting on September 2

The Corona del Mar Residents Association (CdMRA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 a.m.

Newport Beach Fire Department staff will discuss family and home preparedness in recognition of Disaster Preparedness Month. Life Safety Specialist Raymi Wun will discuss two important components of Fire Prevention for our homes: vegetation management and ember protection.

Community Coordination and NBFD Public Information Officer Josh Leith will discuss family preparation tips and the upcoming fall CERT training, offered free to Newport Beach residents. This topic is important to CdMRA because our neighborhoods are close to wildland interface areas, such as Buck Gully, Newport Coast and more.

All Corona del Mar residents are invited to attend this event. It will be held in person at the OASIS Senior Center in Room 2 at 801 Narcissus Ave., Corona del Mar. RSVPs are requested.
