Children’s authors coming to Newport Beach Public Library

Calling all aspiring young writers! Join Newport Beach Public Library for an interactive lesson in animation with local children’s author Kim Dwinell on Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 4-5 p.m.

Meet children’s author Kim Dwinell for an interactive lesson in animation on September 20

Dwinell is the author and illustrator of the children’s graphic novel series Surfside Girls (now a hit TV series on Apple+). Children will get to meet the author and participate in a guided activity, where they will create their own six-frame animation and mini book. Admission is free and registration is recommended.

This event takes place at Central Library’s Friends Meeting Room, located at 1000 Avocado St., Newport Beach.
