Celebrate the Christmas Boat Parade at American Legion

This year, the American Legion-Squadron 291 is offering a rare opportunity to the public to attend the 113th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade at the American Legion facility, a holiday event that is typically open to “members only.”

The festivities kick off Wednesday, Dec. 15 and run through Sunday, Dec. 19. There will be more than 200 boats and watercraft artfully decorated. Many boats will have cheerful holiday music with carolers on board and boaters will be waving to onlookers onshore, wishing all a Happy Holiday. The American Legion provides an amazing vantage point to watch and take in all the dazzle the parade affords on Newport Harbor.

This year’s theme is Hawaiian Christmas – Mele Kalikimaka. In addition to premier Boat Parade viewing, dinner and cocktails, entertainment and nightly cash prize drawings add to the festive atmosphere, making for a memorable evening of fun for the entire family.
