Fall…it’s the time to play on

The Newport Beach Recreation & Senior Services Department is inviting you to “play on” his fall with outdoor, indoor and online fun!

Here’s just a sampling:

ACE (After School Enrichment) is back on campus for the 2021-2022 school year. Visit for full schedules of each of the five locations throughout the city, including the newest location at Harbor View Elementary. Other venues include Mariners, Harbor View, Newport, Newport Coast and Newport Heights elementary schools. Activities include coding, science, Zumba, cooking, art, etiquette, surfing and more. Please be aware that all ACE programming will be subject to current NMUSD guidelines, and some indoor programming may be held at nearby city facilities. 

Bilingual Preschool provides a unique opportunity to learn Spanish and English while preparing for kindergarten. The preschool course comes alive through fun activities, music, puppets, books, posters, picture cards, theater, felt board and trivia. Geared to ages 2-5, it takes place September 13 through October 7 on Monday through Thursday from 8:30-11 a.m. Cost: $389.

OC Tiny Tots Academy Preschool Programs at Marina Park. Preschool (geared to 3 1/2- to 5-year-olds), to get kindergarten ready, takes place Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Messy, Messy, Fun (geared to 1 1/2- to 3 1/2-year-olds) expands your child’s innate creativity. Register here.

Preschool Playtime where students develop listening, gross and fine motor skills, concentration and memory. Come enjoy circle time, crafts, music, stories and games. Geared to ages 2-5, it takes place September 13 through October 7 on Monday through Thursday from 12-1 p.m. Cost: $421. Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday options are available. Tidepool tours are back. Schedule your class, scout group, youth group, or office for a guided tidepool and beach tour. Maximum is 60 per day. Programs focus on coastal ecology, conservation and learning how to safely explore coastal habitats. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. Pick up a copy of the fall edition of the Newport Navigator from a library or community center near you or hop online to to view the fully linked digital version. Registration is now open with classes being conducted now through December 5 (no classes in Sept. 6, Nov. 11 and Nov. 25-26).
