Calling all student artists…

The Newport Beach City Arts Commission is presenting the Student Art Exhibition, a new month-long program celebrating the creativity and artistic expression of young artists that is open to all students in grades pre-K through 12. 

Applicants may submit one original work of art, two-dimensional format only, to be displayed on the second floor of the Central Library from August 2-28. The call for entries continues through August 21. There are no entry fees for participation. For entry guidelines and prize information, visit the Cultural Arts section of the City website at

The city’s Student Art Exhibition is open to all students in grades pre-K through 12

The Newport Beach City Arts Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on all matters pertaining to artistic, aesthetic and cultural aspects of the city. It recommends to the City Council the adoption of such ordinances, rules and regulations as it may deem necessary for the administration and preservation of fine arts, performing arts, historical, aesthetic and cultural aspects of the community. On behalf of the city, it actively encourages programs for the cultural enrichment of the community, including visual and performing arts activities as well as arts education programs.
