Speak Up Newport to deal with traffic issues at May meeting

Are you concerned with traffic around the city today? Well, just imagine if the state has its way and Newport Beach is forced to accommodate 4,834 new housing units. What happens then?

Speak Up Newport will present its May Zoom meeting, titled “Traffic Problems & Congestion Coming?” on Wednesday, May 12 from 4-5 p.m.

The presentation will present a three-person panel featuring former City Councilperson & City Traffic Consultant Tony Petros, Planning Commissioner Erik Weigand and former City Council candidate Nancy Scarbrough. They’ll discuss how the proposed housing units with increased traffic will be managed, and what new and innovative techniques will be used.
