Chamber brings in state leader to offer California insights on May 6

The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) will present California Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Allen Zaremberg at its May WAKE UP! Newport gathering on Thursday, May 6 via Zoom at 8 a.m.

Zaremberg will offer an update on the California Economy, including how lingering effects of COVID-19 will affect the state’s economy and what upcoming governmental issues are threatening California’s businesses.

Zaremberg took over the top staff position at the CalChamber in 1998 after six years as executive vice president and head of their advocacy program. He also served on a number of public policy boards and commissions geared toward improving the California economy, and has previously served on the boards of the California Children’s Theater and the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts.

Before joining the California Chamber, Zaremberg served as chief legislative adviser to and advocate for California Governors Pete Wilson and George Deukmejian. Prior to that, he worked in the private practice of law as a Deputy Attorney General and as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

He has a BS in Economics from Penn State and a JD from the University of the Pacific.
