COVID-19: 15 new cases and no new deaths reported in Newport Beach this past week

Stu News Newport is now reporting COVID-19 numbers on a weekly basis, as reported by the OC Health Care Agency.

This week, April 23-29, there have been 15 new cases in Newport Beach and no new deaths, bringing the overall totals to 3,868 cases reported to date and 75 overall deaths.

During the past week, the County reported a total of 505 new cases, raising the total to 253,780 to date. The death totals for the County were 38 for the week, bringing the overall total number of deaths to 4,948.

As of yesterday, April 29, Orange County has performed a cumulative of 3,646,290 tests to date. There are 116 current cases of hospitalized patients in Orange County, of which 25 are in ICU.
