Burglary takes place in Balboa Island home while victim is on the front porch

An unknown suspect entered a kitchen through an unlocked rear door and burglarized a Balboa Island home in the 100 block of Marine Ave. sometime between 6-6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 29.

At the time of the burglary, the victims were on the front porch of their home and did not hear any commotion. The suspect took the victim’s watch from the kitchen counter and left the scene.

The loss was reported to Newport Beach the next day after the victim searched for the watch and was unable to locate it.

No suspect information was available.
