Balloons symbolize the happiness and excitement experienced during a celebration, and we invite you to share this joy with the Balboa Island Museum Newport Beach on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. Historical Treasures for Our Community

The museum is always looking for ways for the public – young and old – to learn something new about Orange County by presenting exciting exhibits in The Gallery. We are currently featuring The Irvine Ranch and on February 29 at 6 p.m., we are having a speaker event with Michael Stockstill and H. Pike Oliver. They will be talking about “The Big Plan,” examining the rapid transformation of a 93,000-acre Southern California agricultural empire into a university-anchored- master-planned new town during the 1960s and ‘70s. Be sure to get your tickets now, as this event is sure to sell out. Go here to purchase tickets, or call 949.675.3952.

Fun for all Ages

Our popular Scavenger Hunt makes learning about the history of Orange County fun! Children and adults alike are entertained during their visit to the museum as they navigate their way through the museum, uncovering clues that will teach them more about our unique history. Ask about the Scavenger Hunt during your next visit to the museum.

On any given day you will find children having a great time at the museum. Whether playing with the kinetic sand in the sailboat, learning about the concept of a rotary telephone, or working on a puzzle, kids learn through the interactive experiences in the museum. In the meantime, their parents or grandparents are having their own experience in learning as they explore the exhibits about John Wayne, The Wedge, surfing, the history of Newport Harbor and so much more.

Be sure to visit and experience this for yourself!
