Four suspects allegedly brandish gun and knife in residential robbery of victim, one later arrested

On Tuesday, March 19, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Newport Beach Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance call on Vista Luci in Newport Coast.

It was reported, upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim had been robbed by four male suspects who had entered the residence. It was reported a knife and a rifle were held by two of the suspects.

Two high valued purses, jewelry and cash were reportedly taken.

No one was injured.

Police subsequently arrested and booked a male suspect, identified as Li Shi He, 43, of Arcadia at 3:13 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29. It was reported the suspect was booked on charges of kidnapping for ransom, extortion by the threat of injury, robbery using a cutting instrument, residential burglary with no forced entry and for conspiracy to commit a crime.

He is being held on $1,000,000 bail.

The identification and whereabouts of the other suspects were not detailed in the arrest.
