Forty-second Annual Gentlemen’s Haberdashery celebrates record-breaking year, raising more than $660,000

The Gentlemen’s Haberdashery, one of Orange County’s longest and most celebrated fundraisers and events, raised a record-breaking $660,000 on Thursday, April 25, at the Balboa Bay Resort. Nearly 400 community members and philanthropic leaders attended as Orange County’s most prominent executives and leaders modeled a full range of menswear, raising funds for the Heart of Jesus Retreat Center in Santa Ana, Calif.

“This year’s Haberdashery was filled with so much ‘joy’ thanks to the nearly 400 supporters who attended and made this our most successful event to date,” said Sister Paula Sawhill, of the Sisters of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. “Creating a lasting impact is a team effort and we’re deeply grateful for the generosity of our guests and long-time supporters. We are so blessed to continue our mission of providing a place for prayer, hope, laughter and learning at the Heart of Jesus Retreat Center.”

The Heart of Jesus Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Sisters of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart to provide religious and integrity formation and avenues of faith development for children, youth, adults and families. With the commitment to the principle that one day with Jesus can make the difference of a lifetime, the safe, secure and caring center welcomes more than 12,000 attendees each year from local parishes, schools and more. The facility includes a beautiful and spacious chapel, conference rooms for 10-250, recreation area with basketball and volleyball courts, indoor/outdoor dining, kitchens, gift shop and parking.
