ENC seeks high school students for Leader in Training program

The Environmental Nature Center (ENC) is looking for responsible high school students that love nature and working with children to be a part of the Leader in Training (LIT) program for their upcoming Presidents Week and Spring Break Camps.

What is a Leader in Training? LITs are amazing high school students who help youngsters during nature camps. LIT orientation lasts 1.5 hours and may be shorter depending on number of attendees. Orientation will cover a tour of the ENC grounds, a PowerPoint detailing what to expect at nature camp, an overview of camp policies, a rundown of fun icebreaker games to play with your camp group, camp tips and tricks, and an opportunity for you all to ask questions. Bring a reusable water bottle.

Youth volunteers can earn community service hours. Get outside and away from screens for a few hours a day. Get some exercise, fresh air and some sun. Spend time with like-minded peers and gain experience and responsibility supervising young children. It provides an excellent experience to include on a resume or college application and is the perfect volunteer opportunity if you enjoy working with children.
