American Legion Auxiliary Unit 291 holds Salute to Service event

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 291 Newport Harbor announced the launch of a new program, Salute to Service, honoring our local high school seniors who are joining the military upon graduation.

The inaugural event took place June 3 at the American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 starting with a Duffy harbor cruise partially sponsored by the Duffy Electric Boat Sales and Rentals, a buffet dinner sponsored by The Segerstrom Foundation, and a program filled with speakers, music and opportunity drawings.
